The International Conference «Central and South Asia: Regional Connectivity. Challenges and Opportunities» will be held on July 15 – 16 in Tashkent on the initiative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The main goal of the forum is to strengthen the historically close and friendly ties, trust and good neighborliness between Central and South Asian countries in the interests of the peoples and the countries of both regions.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, the high representatives of Central and South Asian countries, other foreign countries, the leaders of the authoritative international and regional organizations, the global financial institutes and companies, the leading research and analytical centers intent to participate in the conference.
During the plenary and break-out meeting the participants of the forum will discuss the opportunities of promoting the initiatives, which are aimed at the development of trade-economic, transport-communication and cultural-humanitarian cooperation in the context of the further deepening regional connectivity.
The agenda is the comprehensive exchange of opinions and joint development of the proposals for increasing the cooperation in the field of trade, investments, transport, energy and innovations, «green» technologies, the implementation specific projects and cooperation programs, the expansion of interaction in the field of tourism, education, healthcare, science and culture, ensuring stability and security of both regions.
