In the Pakhtaabad District of the Andijan Region the President has learnt about an innovative greenhouse.

Previously, there was an aggregate pit at this place. The crops cultivation has been established here as a part of the ongoing work on the efficient use of land. The «Mega Agro» Limited Liability Company has built a greenhouse under the Spanish technology.

The crops in the greenhouse are irrigated by means of a system of polyethylene pipes, which make the water, constantly circulate and in turn, prevents excessive water use.

The entrepreneur was allocated 16 hectares of land. On six hectares, the cultivation of greenhouse and field products was organized. On another two hectares, the modern equipment from Turkey and Spain is being installed.

Here they grow the crisp head lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, their seedlings and various greens. Besides the domestic market, it is planned to export the products. The export target - $1.5 million per year. The company has created 100 jobs. 

The President has instructed to establish an enterprise for the production of metal works in Andijan, allocate imported parts, including component parts for greenhouses. It was noted that the Andijan Agricultural Institute should become the accelerator of innovative development of the region’s agricultural sector.
