President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Andijan Region on June 17.

The Makhalla (the local neighborhood community area) Kugay of Izbaskan District is one of the most remote residential places in the region. Thanks to the favorable business environment, it is becoming attractive for the industries, which as a result contributes to the people’s employment.

Recently, a sewing and knitwear enterprise «And gold» was established in the makhalla by the «Sohib Omad Barakasi» cluster.

The President got acquainted with the activities of this factory.

A new building was constructed and modern equipment was installed as part of the $2,5 million project. The annual capacity of the enterprise is 3,5 million off-the-shelf knitwear per year. The company plans to export the entire volume of products and intends to make more than $5 million a year. The contracts with China and Russia for the supply of yarns are already signed.

Currently, the company employs 830 women. The President spoke with them.

«I express my respect and appreciation to you. I am glad that you found a job in your home village. Has there ever been such a modern enterprise in Izbaskan? We will continue this work and create all conditions for our women. If a woman has a job and is in a good mood, her family will be happy», - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

When the factory reaches full capacity, 1,200 residents of this remote village will be provided with permanent jobs.
