On June 3, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The topical issues of the bilateral agenda and regional cooperation were discussed.
The Presidents highly appreciated the productive results of the meeting of the Prime Ministers of the two countries held yesterday in the city of Nur-Sultan.
A special attention was paid to further promotion of priority projects in the field of trade and logistics, industrial cooperation, the development of modern transport communications and tourist infrastructure.
The Presidents also welcomed the development of inter-parliamentary exchanges and holding of the first meeting of the joint commission at the heads of the Senates level in Tashkent these days.
The Leaders exchanged views on strengthening the relations of friendship and good-neighborliness in Central Asia, as well as a peaceful settlement in Afghanistan.
In addition, the schedule of the forthcoming high-level meetings was considered.
