The President got acquainted with the of the «Аfghanbazarcarpets» enterprise activities in the city of Termez.
Many sheep are bred in Surkhandarya. However, their wool is almost never processed. In this regard, the Committee for the Development of Sericulture and Karakul Breeding is implementing a project based on the Afghan experience in the manufacture of woolen carpets.
The President approved this project and gave instructions on expanding partnerships with Afghan entrepreneurs, increasing the number of woolen sheep.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev talked with employee-women of the enterprise.
The «Silkroadtex» factory will also be established here and engaged in the production of fabrics and finished silk products, sports and travel bags. It is planned to export products worth more than $2 million per year.
