President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the general layout of the Termez International Trade Center.

26 hectares of land in the Termez District have been allocated for this Center. The $75 million-worth center will house terminals for receiving, storing, processing, sorting and packing, as well as selling products. All the necessary infrastructure will be created.

According to the project, the complex will have 1,800 retail outlets, a 50,000 capacity logistics center, two 400-bed hotels, hospitals and car maintenance points. It is planned to place shops on the first floors of the buildings, and light industry enterprises on the second.

It is estimated that the annual turnover of the International Trade Center will be $500 million, and the volume of services - $10 million. The exports worth $192 million will pass through the Center.

The Fund for Reconstruction and Development provided $10 million to start the center construction works.

The President instructed to build the Center from lightweight structures, involve regional entrepreneurs in the maintenance of the center and export, as well as create all the necessary conditions for foreign businessmen. The need was emphasized to build similar trade centers in areas bordering on other neighboring countries, taking into account the gained experience.

The commissioning of the Termez International Trade Center is scheduled for 2022.
