President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the «Angor Surkhon gururi» cluster in the Angor District and got acquainted with the progress of wheat and cotton cultivation.

The cluster has a sown area of ​​more than 11 thousand hectares, 4 870 hectares of which are sown with wheat. This year, the disease-resistant wheat varieties were imported from Russia. The yield is expected at 80 centners per hectare.

The President took the wheel of a harvester-thresher and harvested grain from the field.

Cotton is grown in double rows on 4,656 hectares. The California- method irrigation saves 50% of water.

In a conversation with experts in the field, the President noted the importance of popularizing the method of growing cotton in double rows in the southern regions for a higher yield.

The vegetables and legumes are also grown in the cluster.
