On May 14, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who is in our country on a working visit to participate in the regular meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission.
The issues on further expansion of the multifaceted practical cooperation, strengthening the Uzbek-Tajik relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership were considered.
The President noted with profound satisfaction the current high level of cooperation achieved thanks to the political will and decisive actions of the leaders of the two countries.
Kokhir Rasulzoda expressed deep gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for a warm welcome and conveyed sincere greetings and best wishes from the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
During the meeting, a special attention was paid to the implementation of promising projects in the spheres of trade, engineering, energy, extractive industry, agriculture, textile industry, transport, tourism and healthcare. The intensive contacts at the regional and business levels, cultural and humanitarian exchange programs will also continue.
The Prime Minister of Tajikistan has underscored that he will make every effort to jointly prepare the forthcoming summit of the leaders of our states, as well as ensure the deepening of full-scale partnerships between the brotherly countries and peoples.
