On May 13, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov.

The Presidents exchanged sincere congratulations on the celebration of the Holy Ramadan holiday – the Eid al-Fitr, and expressed good wishes for peace, well-being and prosperity to the two brotherly peoples.

The importance of the timely practical implementation of the agreements reached and signed during the state visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan to our country in March this year was emphasized.

A special attention was paid to the promotion of joint programs and projects in the field of trade, industry, energy, transport and other sectors of the economy. 

The efforts under way to normalize the situation on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border and strengthen the relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and partnership in the Central Asian region were noted with satisfaction.
