President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the new exposition of the Museum of Glory.
The museum has already collected more than 12.5 thousand exhibits and their number will grow. The historical facts and events are presented here with the use of modern technologies and interactive methods. On the instructions of the President, assigned during the last visit, the museum’s exposition has significantly been expanded. The separate sections dedicated to the ministries and departments within the Armed Forces have been established.
«This place should become a truly national museum. It is necessary to contact the descendants of those people who participated in the war or sheltered orphans, to reflect the heroic deed of our ancestors. Many sources have not been studied, yet. We need the active help of every village, makhalla (the local residential community area), educational institution and the public in collecting and disseminating information. It is important to understand the full horror of war, draw lessons from history. In this sense, the museum should serve as a foundation, a bridge between the past and the present», Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
It was instructed to establish an electronic database and publication of books about the participants of the World War II.
