On May 3, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with a presentation on the preparations for the Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The comprehensive conditions have been created to prepare the athletes for the forthcoming prestigious competition in the Japanese capital city of Tokyo. The highly qualified specialists have been involved, hundreds of training camps have been organized. Up to now, our athletes have obtained 41 Olympic and 16 Paralympic licenses.

The status of preparation for the Olympic and Paralympic Games was criticized and recognized as unsatisfactory during the presentation. The need to support athletes and their teams to increase the number of permits following the results of qualification tournaments in May-July was emphasized. The instructions were given on strengthening the services for athletes and their comprehensive stimulation.

The task was set to enhance the activities of the federations, along with the involved sports managers, develop individual programs for each sport, improve the physical, medical and psychological training of the Olympians.
