On May 1, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the site of a new park in the Qibray District of the Tashkent Region.
The green spaces play an important role in creating a comfortable and favorable living environment. Therefore, the new parks and alleys are being created in cities and regions of our country. The green spaces are especially essential for growing Tashkent, where the large-scale construction work has unfolded in recent years.
On the initiative of the President, a large park is being established near the capital city. On February 25 the project of the park was discussed. The first trees have been planted here today.
In this regard, the deputies, members of parliament and government, the public of Tashkent, representatives of the elder generation, academic and art figures, athletes and youth gathered here.
«I am pleased to meet you on these bright days of Ramadan. We have started a laborious work to create decent conditions for our people. By the grace of God, we are starting to establish a 104-hectare park in this picturesque place. I believe that establishing the park during this blessed month is a good sign», said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The new park is remarkable not only for its landscape, but also for its content. The trees will be planted in the shape of five branches of a huge tree, which will symbolize the five priority areas of the Action Strategy.
The aim is to create not only a green area, but a place of high culture and spirituality, a spot where people can relax in the open. The chestnuts, oaks, maples, tulip and linden trees will be planted as well as unique ornamental plants, shrubs and flowers. It is also planned to create an artificial lake, sports grounds and playgrounds, fountains.
The «Istiklol» complex dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the independence of our country will be also erected here.
The President has emphasized the ideological and historical significance of this complex.
«This year we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of our independence. However, our statehood is 3 thousand years old. There will be a complex that will feature this great history. And young people, foreign guests coming here will be able to make sure of this», said the President.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has underscored that the park should be a complex that reflects the new image of Uzbekistan, its enormous potential, the unity and cohesion of our multinational people. With this in view, he has proposed to name this majestic park «New Uzbekistan». The proposal was supported by those gathered.
The President, together with the public, has planted trees in the new park.
As has been previously reported, an Olympic Village will be established next to the park.
