On April 23, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan Sodiq Imomi, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country.

The President especially noted the current highest level of the Uzbek-Tajik relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership achieved through the political will and decisive steps of the leaders of the two brotherly countries.

Currently, the bilateral cooperation covers all areas without exception and continues to develop dynamically, filling with specific substance.

A top-level visit to Tajikistan is planned in the coming months and today the governments of the two countries are carefully preparing a new agenda for a full-scale long-term interaction.

For great services in achieving the current high level of bilateral relations and personal contribution to the development of multifaceted cooperation, the President awarded the Ambassador Sodiq Imomi the Certificate of Appreciation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The diplomat expressed deep gratitude to the President of Uzbekistan for the high assessment and full support for his activities in the country.

He has underscored that in the future he will make every effort to unconditionally implement the goals and objectives to strengthen the fraternal relations between the two countries and peoples.
