On April 12, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the presentation of investment projects, which will be realized in the city of Tashkent.  

In 2021-2023, it is planned to implement 1390 investment projects in the amount of $10,7 billion in Tashkent and create about 98 thousand jobs. In particular, this year it is planned to disburse investments for $4,1 billion.

In the first quarter, 130 projects worth 1,8 trillion Uzbek soums were launched in the capital city, about 2 thousand jobs were created. In particular, 55 projects were implemented in the industry, 63 in the services sector and 12 in the housing construction.

The presentation provided information on the projects to be implemented by the end of the year. For example, in Mirzo Ulugbek District an enterprise will be established for the production of construction materials, such as cast steel, fittings, elbows and channels based on the processing of 110 thousand tons of metal per year, and 200 new jobs will be created.

By the end of the year, it is planned to implement 847 projects for more than 30 trillion Uzbek soums and create about 36 thousand jobs.

In addition, Tashkent enterprises plan to export products for $ 3 billion in 2021-2023. This year, it is expected to export the industrial products for more than $800 million and horticulture products by almost $70 million.

The President instructed to form additional projects, going beyond planned indicators, diversify the export structure and expand its nomenclature.

During the presentation, the President was also informed about the master plan of the «Yangi Andijon» housing estate, which is planned to be constructed near the city of Andijan.

Andijan is one of the highly densely populated cities in our country. The possibilities for expanding the city are almost exhausted.

According to the master plan of the new city, with the total area of about 4 thousand hectares, it will consist of 1439 hectares of buildings, including housing, a commercial and small industrial zone, 1820 hectares of green zones, 223 hectares of social and service infrastructure, as well as 499 hectares of roads.

Most importantly, this large area will be erected on empty lands that are not used in agriculture. As a result of the project, a new city will appear, capable of providing accommodation for 411 thousand people.

The President gave instructions on the thorough and qualitative implementation of project design work, effective use of the potential of domestic specialists in its implementation. He has also instructed to provide for the creation of as many green zones, parks and alleys as possible, all conditions for a comfortable life of the population.
