The top-level Uzbek-Hungarian talks started with a face-to-face meeting.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev greeted the distinguished guest on the Uzbek soil and noted that this visit will begin a new stage in the relations between Uzbekistan and Hungary.
Viktor Orban sincerely thanked the President of Uzbekistan for the warm welcome and reiterated Hungary’s interest in expanding the multifaceted cooperation with Uzbekistan.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation in the political, trade and economic, investment, financial and technical, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
The parties confirmed their readiness to bring the Uzbek-Hungarian relations based on mutual trust and a wide range of common interests to the level of strategic partnership. The leaders agreed to strengthen the long-term cooperation, to take an advantage of the new mutually beneficial areas, and maintain ties between business circles and regions of the two countries.
The views on the issues of mutual interest of the international and regional agenda were exchanged. The sides confirmed the convergence of views and approaches in terms of strengthening peace, security and stability.
