Today, on March 21 the Navruz holiday celebrations were held at the «Humo Arena» complex in Tashkent.
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev took part in the festive event.
The President cordially congratulated our multinational people on the Navruz holiday and expressed his best wishes.
«Last year, due to the pandemic, we were unable to celebrate Navruz as before - with big celebrations. Then we wished that soon the troubling days would be left behind and we, together with our people, would celebrate many more holidays, spend many public festivals. Today these dreams are coming true. A festive mood reigns again, joyful days are beginning in our beautiful country», - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The President has emphasized that the threat of coronavirus has not yet been completely eliminated, and to ensure the accomplished work is not wasted, the fight against the pandemic cannot be stopped for a minute, indifference and carelessness must not be shown.
«Our strength lies in unity and solidarity, our strength – in kindness, mutual help and generosity, our success – in firm confidence in the future»,- said the President.
This time Navruz holiday is celebrated in the year of the 30th anniversary of the independence of our Motherland. The people of Uzbekistan celebrate this holiday in a good mood.
«The immortal spirit and long-term philosophy of Navruz are harmoniously combined and consonant with the idea of a New Uzbekistan, which we are building today. With the selfless labor of our people and strong political will, we will continue our large-scale reforms. As hard as it may be, we will never leave our right path to ensure the interests of our people, the future of our dear children», - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The work carried out in all fields and regions is paying off. The modern enterprises, new housing, scientific and cultural institutions are being built. The cities and villages are being equipped with services and utilities.
A priority is given to addressing the problems of all segments of the population, primarily women and youth, creating conditions for their education and vocational training, providing jobs and source of income and housing.
All this corresponds to the values of humanity, care and well-being that Navruz embodies.
