«Chirchik can be turned into an innovative and attractive city for investments. Therefore, we need to take an inventory of all buildings. There is all the infrastructure here. It is necessary to increase the capacity of roads and railways, as well as to develop public transport. If conveniences are created, both the new residents and business people will come to the town», - said Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The President also visited the Chirchik heat supply company.
In total, there are 14 boiler houses in the town, one of which was built in 1957. It works on a flow-through system: it takes water from the municipal water supply system, heats it up and supplies it to houses, which leads to excessive consumption of water and gas.
Therefore, the boiler house is being modernized according to Turkish technology. The project is for more than $16 million and will be financed by a loan from the World Bank.
The capacity of the new boiler house will be 75 megawatts. The construction work will be carried out in three stages. As part of the modernization, 24 kilometers of heating pipe mains will be laid in the town, the high-quality heat supply will be established for 175 multi-storey buildings and 19 social facilities. The operation of the boiler house will save 12 million cubic meters of natural gas, 3.4 million kilowatts of electricity and 300 thousand cubic meters of water. The air emissions will be reduced by 4.7 thousand tons.
There was also a presentation on the improvement of public utilities and transport services in the towns of the region.
