On March 15, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.
The topical issues of further expanding the Uzbek-Kazakh multifaceted cooperation, strengthening the relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership between the two countries were considered during the conversation.
A special priority is given to enhancing the mutual interactions in the economic sphere to early overcome the negative impact of the pandemic.
The point is primarily about increasing the volume of mutual trade, promoting joint projects of industrial cooperation within the adopted «Road Map», as well as the development of efficient transport communications and logistics infrastructure in the border areas.
In addition, the importance of continuing the active exchanges at the level of governments, concerned agencies and organizations in the field of healthcare, pharmaceuticals and education was noted.
The presidents also exchanged views on the international and regional agenda and reviewed the schedule of forthcoming bilateral and multilateral events.
At the end of the conversation, the presidents have warmly exchanged greetings on the forthcoming spring holiday Navruz, sincerely wishing peace, well-being and prosperity to the brotherly peoples.
The telephone conversation of the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan was held in the traditional business-like and friendly atmosphere.
