On March 12, Summit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel will be held via videoconference.
It is envisaged that the leaders of the two countries will consider the topical issues of further enhancing the Uzbek-German multifaceted partnerships.
A particular attention will be paid to the implementation of agreements of the high-level meetings, development of the constructive political dialogue, promotion of joint projects and programs of trade and economic, investment, financial, technical, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
During the talks, an exchange of views on the current international and regional agenda will also take place.
It should be reminded that in January 2019, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan paid an official visit to Germany and in May the same year the President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier paid a return visit to Uzbekistan.
Germany is one of the key economic, investment and technological partners of Uzbekistan.
At the end of last year, the mutual trade amounted to $829 million, more than $700 million of German investments were disbursed in our country. In general, about 200 joint ventures are operating now in Uzbekistan.
