On March 9, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received a delegation of the Republic of Turkey headed by the Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu.
The topical issues of development of the Uzbek-Turkish multifaceted relations were discussed at the meeting.
The Head of our State noted with satisfaction that the regular contacts at the highest level contribute to further strengthening the ties of friendship and strategic partnership, expanding the mutually beneficial cooperation between our countries, as well as add a specific substance.
The Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu expressed his deep appreciation to the leader of Uzbekistan for the reception and conveyed the warm greetings and sincere wishes of the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
During the conversation, a special attention was paid to the practical implementation of the agreements of the first meeting the Strategic Cooperation Council which was held at the level of the heads of states in Ankara last February, as well as the preparation to the next Summit in our country.
The sides emphasized the importance of increasing cooperation in the field of trade and economy, particularly, the preparation and implementation of new investment projects in Uzbekistan with the participation of leading Turkish companies.
A mutual interest in developing an active interregional dialogue, promoting joint educational, cultural and humanitarian programs has been noted.
An exchange of views took place on the issues of international politics and regional partnerships, including the issues in the framework of the Economic Cooperation Organization and the Cooperation Council of Turkic-Speaking States.
