President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has sent a message of congratulations to the Director-General of the World Trade Organization Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala on her appointment to this important and responsible post.

 

In his message, the head of our state expressed his confidence in the implementation of effective reforms, under the leadership of the new Director-General, which are dedicated to increase the role and authority of this organization, as well as the effective measures to overcome the global crisis and further develop the system of international trade relations.

The importance of continuing close cooperation on the issues of our country’s early entry into the WTO was highlighted.
