In accordance with agreements reached earlier at the highest level, tomorrow, on December 11, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev will meet with the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi in videoconferencing format.
The summit agenda includes topical issues related to furthering the Uzbek-Indian relations of friendship and strategic partnership, enhancing the multifaceted cooperation in political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres.
Particular attention will be paid to the continuation of close interaction for overcoming the consequences of coronavirus pandemic.
The two sides also intend to discuss priority programs and projects aimed at boosting the bilateral trade, developing transport links, consolidating the cooperation in agriculture, energy, information and communication technologies, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and other industries, as well as at bolstering the contacts among regions of our two countries, along with educational and humanitarian exchanges.
The two leaders are expected to swap views on the developments in the world and Central Asia, and consider steps to effectively address contemporary challenges and threats.
The talks are anticipated to result in a joint statement as well as a number of intergovernmental and interagency agreements covering economy and innovation, financial and technical assistance, customs and technical regulation of trade, training and joint scientific research.
