Today, on December 1, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a telephone conversation with Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The head of our state warmly congratulated the multiethnic people of Kazakhstan on the public holiday – the Day of the First President, sincerely wishing peace, wellbeing and prosperity.
The two Presidents discussed topical issues in the bilateral relations of friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership. Special attention was paid to promoting joint projects and programs of practical interaction, primarily those of trade, economic, investment and humanitarian nature.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also deliberated on international affairs, including preparations for the upcoming Uzbekistan-chaired CIS summit due this month. Shared willingness was expressed for the continuation of close dialogue within the framework of the Commonwealth, as well as other regional and global institutions.
Toward the end of the conversation, the sides reaffirmed their mutual commitment to the advancement of full-scale cooperation between the two fraternal nations.
