President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited the Youth Center in the city of Karshi and enquired into the amenities created there for the representatives of the growing generation.
The head of our state met there with Kashkadarya youths.
“I have come here to have an open and sincere talk with you. I would like, to be sure, to meet with all the youth, but it’s impossible. You can now speak of problems on the ground, of your dreams. Thus, go ahead and speak freely, so as if you are talking to your parents,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Issues of concern to young people raised during the conversation included those ensuring their employment and meaningful leisure.
In Kashkadarya region, more than 26 thousand youths are unemployed, it was noted at the meeting, and the level of entrepreneurship development in this region is significantly below the national average.
The President indicated the need to support youth initiatives, assign additional funding within the framework of the government program “Yoshlar – Kelajagimiz”.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev backed the proposal voiced by youth from Mubarek district to set up an IT park in the region, to teach e-commerce and programming skills free of charge. The head of our state gave relevant instructions to responsible officials.
The children’s school of music and art in the Kitab district, designed for 150 seats, currently hosts 310 students. Executives were urged to deliver decent conditions for these children.
Taking into account the high interest in sports among regional youth, the President gave directives to build additional gyms in schools, increase the number of classes in sports complexes.
Musharraf Ibodullayeva, student of the Uzbek State Institute of Physical Culture, who earned a gold medal at the recent Sambo World Championships in Serbia, will be granted government scholarship for the entire period of her education, Shavkat Mirziyoyev told the officials.
The head of our state attended to views of young people studying and working in various fields. Responsible executives were given instructions on the realization of proposals pushed forward at the meeting.
“If you ask me what my biggest goal is, what could make me happy, my answer would sound like this: to have our youth acquire modern worldview, to provide them with job, boost self-confidence in them, see their happiness,” the President told the local youths.
