President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has arrived in Kashkadarya region on November 12 to get acquainted with the progress of socio-economic reforms, large projects, as well as to have a dialogue with the people.
The head of state began his trip to the region with familiarization with the production of yarns and fabrics from synthetic fibers in the limited liability company Oqsaroy Vortex in the city of Shahrisabz.
Shahrisabz Textile and Oqsaroy Textile, part of the Oqsaroy Group, operate here. It was planned to gradually implement 3 projects worth $ 54 million, create 1,610 jobs and organize the export of goods worth $ 22 million a year.
At the first stage, in 2016, a project for $ 21 million was implemented at Oqsaroy Textile, which resulted in the production of 9 thousand tons of yarn and 4 thousand tons of knitted fabric a year.
In 2019, the company exported products for $ 6 million, this year this figure has already reached $ 8 million.
In the second phase, in October this year, a scheme for the production of yarns and knitted fabrics from synthetic fibers was launched at Shahrisabz Textile. The project cost is 15 million dollars, and the production capacity is 3 thousand tons of yarn, 5.5 thousand tons of synthetic threads and 3.5 thousand tons of knitted fabric. The volume of exports is estimated at $ 7 million per year.
In the third phase, Shahrisabz Textile plans to expand its yarn and knitwear production. The project worth $ 18 million will allow the production of 7 thousand tons of yarn and 2.1 thousand tons of knitted fabric. The project, to be launched next year, will help create 700 jobs.
The President got acquainted with the technological process at the enterprise.
The main difference from traditional spinning mills is that it is equipped with Vortex spinning technology from the Japanese company Murata. The advantage of this technology is that during spinning the fibers are passed through an air vortex. As a result, yarn hairiness is reduced, and its quality is increased.

The President also attended a presentation of projects to increase the level of cotton fiber processing, to ensure food security.
