Modern enterprise, cozy housing breathe new life to Sardoba

13.10.2020

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in Sardoba district on October 13 and stopped by the enterprise Sardoba Oqsaroy Textile.

Set up by Oqsaroy Klaster LLC, the venture is capable of producing $ 3.5 million worth of fabrics and ready-to-wear garments a year. The goods are intended to be supplied abroad in full. The company boasts cutting-edge sewing machines and an energy efficient cooling system from Turkey. At the first stage of the project, it has created 500 jobs.

Talking with the workers of the enterprise, the head of our state congratulated them with new homes and jobs.

“In the days of the tragedy, some people lost confidence in the future. Today it gives me joy to see this assurance in your eyes. When women have jobs, they are in a good mood. When women are in kind spirits, children have proper upbringing and an encouraging frame of mind, and all this has a favorable effect on the family and society. This is the reason why we are trying to create more jobs for women,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.

The President attended a presentation of projects designed to expand textile production and create a value chain in the light industry.

During his travel to the Sardoba district on May 15 this year, the head of state laid the first stone for the construction of new houses in the Dustlik mahalla. 37 five-storey apartment blocks with 1,480 flats have been erected here within a short period of time.Today the President got acquainted with this modern residential quarter.

Apartments in five-storey buildings consist of two and three rooms. Energy-saving materials were used in the construction of this housing. The new quarter is connected to all necessary communications. A mahalla guzar, playgrounds have also been built, and the area has been landscaped.

These ready-to-use apartments are provided free of charge to the people who suffered from the flood. Among those who received a three-room flat is the family of Bakhtiyor and Kimmatkhon Mirzayevs.

The head of state came to visit them and have a look at the conditions created.
