The head of state has visited the Yangi Toshkent mahalla in the Akaltyn district of the Syrdarya region.

130 cottages have been repaired here, engineering and communication networks restored. A new mahalla guzar, shopping and consumer services points, a library, a sports complex, and internal roads have been built.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the works undertaken, and talked with local residents.

“The situation was quite deplorable when I came here last time. I worried as though my house, my loved ones, my children had suffered. Raising money and organizing these works have been not easy. I thank God, everything is now much better. May these houses serve you well! I wish you to live in wellbeing here. My biggest goal is to see our youth happy,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said in particular.

In addition, a sewing enterprise Nafis Liboslar was established in the mahalla. More than 50 women and girls started working there. The President talked with the staff.

“We will boost up attention to women’s issues. The prosperity of our country, the implementation of all our plans depends on women’s happiness,” the President told the workers.

When the enterprise reaches full capacity, it will be able to produce 500 thousand units of merchandise a year. Some of the goods are planned to be exported.

The head of state visited the family polyclinic and spoke with the personnel. They discussed enhancement of participation of the national healthcare system in the promotion of healthy lifestyle, in the popularization of physical activity.

“If we propagate the benefits of walking and the culture of proper nutrition, we will solve 30-40 percent of problems in medicine,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev suggested.

Thus, the head of our state gave instructions to build up explanatory work on this front and develop incentive mechanisms.
