President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree to award Sir Suma Chakrabarti, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, with Dustlik (Friendship) Order of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The sixth head of the London-based international financial institution is rewarded for his great services in the establishment of strategic partnership and enhancement of multilayered cooperation between Uzbekistan and the EBRD, personal contribution to the improvement of the effectiveness of the country’s socio-economic reform program.
The British civil servant has also been mentioned for his promotion of priority investment projects to modernize industry and infrastructure, support in shaping a favorable investment climate and business environment in Uzbekistan.
