On February 28, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the Technopark in the Yashnabad district of the capital Tashkent.
The park was created for the effective use of the vast territory and structures of the Tashkent Mechanical Plant. Relevant projects were presented to the head of state during his visit to this place last June 28.
The Technopark plans to set up 15 enterprises during 2020-2021with a total value exceeding $ 393 million. They will manufacture washing machines, stoves, refrigerators and freezers, industrial air conditioners, elevators and escalators, and other electrical products.
The Technopark has the necessary engineering and communications infrastructure. For the convenience of entrepreneurs, a logistics center will be established. The localization level of goods is expected to be at the level of 35-40 percent. It is planned to streamline exports worth $ 186 million per year.
The President got acquainted with the activities of the first enterprise, which was put into operation in the Technopark, for the manufacturing of electronic gas meters, and also examined product samples.
The company, organized by an investment of $ 50 million, is capable of producing 3 million meters a year. Smart meters are equipped with a SIM card slot and will send real-time gas consumption data to a central server. The billing system implemented using such meters will reduce the human factor.
The meters are equipped with a shut-off valve that allows one to cut off the gas supply in case of unauthorized intervention in the meter device, or in the event of emergency leaks.
Today, there is a need for 3.5 million electronic gas meters in our country. The company intends to cover this demand in one year of activity and export products worth $ 7.7 million starting next year. For this, an agreement was concluded with an Italian partner, Petro Fiorentini.
The head of state noted that the enterprise should not be limited only to the sale of meters, but also cover the entire process from their installation to maintenance.
“While starting production, you must first think about the standards. Both qualified service and exports require a standard. Unfortunately, in this matter we are far behind the world. There are not enough personnel on the ground who can provide work in accordance with the standard. Therefore, training of our own service specialists should be established at industrial enterprises such as this,” the President suggested.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed about the service center of the enterprise.
The head of state got acquainted with pending Technopark projects, samples of industrial goods intended to be put into production.
