President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received January 6 the chairman of Uzbekistan Muslims Office, Mufti Usmonkhon Alimov, and sincerely congratulated him on the 70th birthday anniversary.
The head of our state stressed Usmonkhon Alimov’s service in reviving the national and religious values, studying and promoting the rich legacy of our great scientists and thinkers of the past, and consolidating the inter-faith tolerance in society.
The head of Uzbekistan Muslims Office, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted, is one of the most respected religious figures not only in our country and Central Asia, but also throughout the world, and that his election to membership of prominent associations in the Islamic world, as well as his inclusion in the list of 500 most influential Muslims of the world is a matter of pride for all the people of Uzbekistan.
“We know and highly value Mr. Mufti as the tireless promoter of Islamic enlightenment. Such works as “Tafsiri Irfon”, “Imam Bukhari, the Sultan of Muhaddithes”, “Parenting a child” have taken a deep set in the heart of our people,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
The President of Uzbekistan awarded the chairman of the Muslims Office, Mufti Usmonkhon Alimov, the Order “El-Yurt Hurmati” (Respect of the Nation) in recognition of his significant contribution to the development of Islamic culture and science in the country, to the study and widespread international promotion of the humanistic essence and noble ideas of the religion, of the invaluable scientific heritage of great scholars and thinkers, for his services in ensuring the stability of the socio-spiritual situation in society, in bolstering the interethnic harmony, for his exemplary activity in training specialists with thorough religious and secular knowledge, in fostering the young generation in the spirit of love for the native land, of generosity and respect for national values.
Usmonkhon Alimov thanked President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for the high award and noted that lately, profound reforms are under implementation in the religious and enlightenment field along with all walks of our society’s life. The Mufti underlined his willingness to actively uphold large-scale work on the study of the religion of Islam, the efforts directed at reviving the heritage of our ancestors and passing it on to future generations.
Uzbekistan Muslims Office and representatives of the religious sector, as the Mufti put it, consider it their duty to keenly participate in endeavors aimed at securing social and spiritual stability in the country, in the enlightenment works designed to nurture young people immersed in the ideas of humanism, tolerance, peace and harmony.
It was noted in particular that the systemic reforms undertaken at the initiative of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to cherish generations deserving our great ancestors, to improve the religious education system in the country, and conduct a deep, scientifically sound study of Islam as a truly humane and virtuous religion are highly appreciated by our people and the international community.
