President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited December 26 the Military Institute of Information Technologies and Communications as well as a military unit in the Zangiata district of Tashkent region.
In line with order of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Uzbekistan, the Military Institute of Information Technologies and Communications as well as the military unit were reorganized and relocated to a new modern military camp.
The President got acquainted with the facilities, the educational process, the availability of modern teaching aids, including the level of implementation of information and communication technologies.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev held a conversation with military personnel, heads of ministries and other government agencies, the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, chiefs of leading technical universities of the country. Thus, further steps have been identified for the development of military education and the creation of a system of selection and training of military communications specialists.
The head of state was provided with information on the construction works carried out in the military unit, projects on modernization of communication networks in the defense system, and on the automation of combat and training processes.
Samples of special equipment and communications available in service at the military unit were presented, as well.
