President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev arrived in St. Petersburg, Russia, on December 20.

At the Pulkovo International Airport, the head of our state was met by the Governor of the Leningrad Region Alexander Drozdenko and other officials.

The President of Uzbekistan is expected to take part in an informal meeting of the heads of state of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

The CIS leaders intend to exchange views on the current state and prospects of multilateral cooperation.

Uzbekistan, it is worth reminding, is to preside in the Commonwealth in 2020.
