President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has got acquainted with the activities of the Surkhandarya regional department of the Oila (Family) Scientific and Practical Research Center.

The three-story building commissioned last year houses the regional and city centers Oila, a library, training rooms, a reception office for citizens, as well as regional branches of the Soghlom Avlod Uchun (For Healthy Generation) international charitable foundation, the non-governmental non-profit organization Barkaror Hayot (Sustainable Life), and other public organizations, representation office of the Ombudsman. The center offers special training courses. The facilities are modern.

About 600 thousand families live in the region, including more than 149 thousand young families. The employees of the center pay special attention to the practical realization of the conceptual idea “Healthy family – healthy society”, prevention of divorces. Research is underway on family relationships and issues.

The head of our state noted the need to correctly explain family values to the young generation, work with the results of research on contemporary family problems, and increase the knowledge of specialists working with women. Recommendations are given on preserving national customs, explaining the reasons for the emergence of ideas and rituals alien to our society, and protecting the youth’s consciousness from such an impact.

The President was also briefed on ongoing efforts by the Oila Scientific and Practical Research Center under the Cabinet of Ministers on public appeals and on the vocational retraining of women.

With this, Shavkat Mirziyoyev completed a two-day trip to Surkhandarya region and left for Tashkent.
