As part of the program of events of the Turkic Council summit in Baku, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received on October 15 the Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban.
The head of the Hungarian government sincerely congratulated the leader of our country on Uzbekistan’s accession to the Council. Confidence was expressed that cooperation development within the framework of this organization would serve to deepen the multifaceted partnership between the two nations.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev and Viktor Orban examined the prospects of bilateral interaction in the trade, economic, investment, financial and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
The importance was emphasized of regular meetings of the joint Intergovernmental Commission for promoting practical cooperation projects, primarily in agriculture, livestock husbandry, industry, pharmaceuticals, tourism and other areas.
Topical issues in the international agenda, including partnership in the Uzbekistan-EU format, were also considered during the meeting of President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with the Hungarian Prime Minister.
