On July 24, a telephone conversation took place between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
At the start of the talk, the Turkish leader sincerely congratulated his Uzbek counterpart on his birthday, underlining the personal contribution of the head of our state to the achievement of the present level of the Uzbek-Turkish multifaceted relations.
The Presidents discussed the current state and prospects of cooperation between the two countries. They expressed deep satisfaction with the fruitful results of the latest session of the Intergovernmental Commission and the joint business forum, which took place these days in the city of Ankara.
Mutual commitment to the full implementation of the deals reached and agreements signed, especially in the trade and economic, investment, innovation and cultural-humanitarian spheres, was stressed.
The heads of state also exchanged views on pressing issues of the international and regional agenda, and considered the schedule of forthcoming bilateral events.
