Today, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin have held a telephone conversation.
At the start of the talks, Vladimir Putin extended his heartfelt congratulations to the head of our state on his birthday, sincerely wishing well-being and success.
The leaders of the two countries noted with profound delight the high level of strategic partnership and alliance relations achieved in the Uzbek-Russian cooperation. It was emphasized that thanks to joint efforts in recent years, bilateral relations are being filled with concrete substance.
Intergovernmental institutions function effectively, the volume of trade has been growing at a steady pace, major investment projects are being implemented in various sectors of our economy with the participation of leading Russian companies and banks.
Practical cooperation among the regions of Uzbekistan and Russia has intensified. Interaction in the field of educational, cultural and humanitarian exchanges has reached an unprecedented level.
During the phone conversation, the heads of state discussed pressing issues in the bilateral relations and international agenda, and also considered the schedule of upcoming events.
The two Presidents reaffirmed their shared commitment to furthering the full-scale partnership for the good of the peoples of our countries, in the interests of securing stability and prosperity of the entire Central Asian region.
