On July 24, a telephone conversation took place between President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

At the start of the conversation, Tajikistan’s President sincerely congratulated the head of our state on his birthday.

The key role and active efforts of the Uzbek President in strengthening the Uzbek-Tajik friendship, good-neighborliness and strategic partnership were underscored in particular.

During the conversation, the heads of state discussed topical issues in the bilateral agenda and regional politics.

The two leaders stressed the importance of boosting the volume of mutual trade and building up the cooperation in diverse sectors of the economy, of continuing the active humanitarian exchanges, including those among border regions.
