President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev spoke with the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the Elbasy Nursultan Nazarbayev over the phone on July 6.

The conversation began with the head of our state congratulating the First President of Kazakhstan – the Elbasy on his birthday and earnestly wishing him a sound health, wellbeing and every success in the tireless activity in the name of prosperity of the fraternal Kazakhstan.

Nursultan A. Nazarbayev’s key role was noted in the formation of Kazakhstani statehood, and consolidation of the country’s independence and sovereignty in the thorniest historical period. 

The President of Uzbekistan stressed in particular that during the Elbasy’s leadership in Kazakhstan, peace and harmony were secured, tremendous progress was achieved in the socioeconomic development, and the country’s standing in the international arena was considerably elevated.

The leaders exchanged views during the conversation on pressing issues in the bilateral agenda as well as international and regional politics.

Important significance was attached to the full-scale realization of the agreements achieved at the highest level, primarily in trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics, and other priority dimensions.

The two sides confirmed resolute commitment to the further consolidation of Uzbekistan-Kazakhstan relations of friendship, neighborliness and strategic partnership.
