The President of Uzbekistan visited the Sarkor farm of the Buka District, where he got familiarized with the state of cotton and wheat cultivation. The head of our state was briefed on projects scheduled for implementation in the Tashkent region in 2019-2020, as a result of which more than 14.5 thousand jobs will be created.

Here Shavkat Mirziyoyev talked with farmers and officials responsible for agriculture. The President noted that raising the extent of cotton fiber processing with our own capacities from 30 to 70 percent was a revolutionary achievement in the agricultural sector.

“Due to the fact that scientific approach and innovations were not applied in agriculture, we ended up having the land “worn down”, and suffered yield losses. Therefore, we have transformed the structure of agriculture, raised procurement prices for commodities. Only when there is interest will there be aspiration and result,” the head of state suggested.
