On May 1, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got familiarized with the activities of ZIF Textile limited liability company in the city of Termez.
A modern sewing enterprise was set up in the place of an unfinished building that was sold to an investor at a “zero” cost, with an obligation of 16 billion soums of investment. Following construction and repairs, workshops, a warehouse and administrative premises were erected. Installed was textile equipment from Germany, Italy and Turkey. About a thousand jobs were created.
The head of state got acquainted with the work of this venture, examined the products manufactured here, and talked with specialists and seamstresses.
The President noted the need to increase the number of such modern industries, to establish exports of goods.
This year, the company plans to produce clothing for children and adults, denim trousers exceeding 29 million US dollars and export goods for $ 8.8 million. In 2021, these figures will reach 50 million and 34.7 million, respectively.
Here, a presentation took place of investment projects on the organization of a cluster Janub Textile LLC for the production of finished garments, of an Uzbek-Indian joint pharmaceutical company, plans for the restoration and landscaping of the Sultan Saodat complex, as well as projects formed with the assistance of our country’s diplomatic missions in Austria, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was also briefed about an innovative project of Uzbekistan’s first mobile cinema, Kinomobil, initiated by LLC Cinema Servis and implemented jointly with the National Bank for Foreign Economic Relations.
The mobile cinema is set up on board of a MAN truck, and is equipped with its own heating and ventilation systems. Spectators will be able to watch movies in 2D and 3D formats with a Dolby 5 + 1 sound system. Preparation for the session takes 30 minutes. Mobile cinema can accommodate up to 80 viewers.
The innovative project, consonant with the Five Initiatives of the President, aims at substantive organization of leisure activities for people in remote areas, especially children and adolescents, at enhancing their spirituality.
The President also attended the presentation of project for establishing a network of modern cinemas across the country. Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave instructions to responsible officials for the timely and high-quality execution of construction works.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan completed his trip to the Surkhandarya region and departed for Tashkent.
