President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has visited the Masdar City technology town.
Itself an eco-city project covering 600 hectares of land, the complex is built with the application of latest technologies and engineering solutions. It uses exclusively alternative energy sources, solar panels and photovoltaic devices in particular. Cars are not permitted into the area; instead, unmanned electric vehicles are there to transport.
The delegation of our country has been provided with information about the specific features of the technology town. A scientific and creative environment has been delivered here, it was noted, that is conducive for innovative developments and their introduction into diverse walks of life. The streets of the eco-city are outfitted with means to maintain the optimum temperature, fountains and ponds also contribute to securing a comfy microclimate.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev inquired into with the activities of a laboratory operating here in research of solar panel production. It was pointed out that such innovation centers are important for minimizing the human impact on the environment and shoring up international scientific cooperation.
The head of our state talked with a student of Khalifa University from Uzbekistan, who conducts research here. The President urged her to introduce in the native land the knowledge and experience gained here, and contribute to the development of alternative energy in our country.
