Tashkent has played host to a festive event occasioned to the 8 March, the International Women’s Day.
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has congratulated the women of our country and expressed his deep respect and the best of wishes.
“On this joyful holiday, we bow our heads to the image of the Mother, the ideal of selflessness. We send you, our dear women who brighten up our life with the light of love and warmth, the most beautiful words and the kindest wishes. The woman is an incomparable miracle of the Almighty and will always remain so,” the head of state suggested.
Uzbekistan’s leader noted that the happiness of the people depends primarily on securing the contentment of women, our esteemed mothers, and making sure that they live a merry life is the key objective and criterion of all reforms.As nurturers of the young generation, guardians of the family hearth, women consolidate society and create a solid foundation for the future. With their fruitful work in healthcare, education, science, culture, arts, industries and other fields, representatives of the fair gender make immense contribution to the development of the country.
A well-deserved appreciation of this has become the 7 March Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to award a group of women in connection with 8 March, the International Women’s Day. In accordance with the document, a group of women were awarded honorary titles, orders and medals for great services in developing the country, in uplifting the public well-being, fostering a healthy and comprehensively advanced generation, strengthening families. It is noteworthy that the awardees included devoted spouses of eminent scholars, poets and writers.
Moreover, in accordance with the Resolution of the President on 2 March, twenty-eight active girls of the nation were awarded the Zulfiya State Prize.
The festive event also served as a platform to handing those high awards to their holders.
“We are ready to serve tirelessly in the name of ensuring that you are always so joyful, satisfied with life, for the sake of your happiness and well-being. May there be even more such bright days,” Shavkat Mirziyoyev said.
Today, the President of Uzbekistan signed another important document – decree on measures to bolster the guarantees of women’s labor rights and shore up support for their business activities. It defines the complex tasks of ensuring the rights and interests of women, improving their living and working conditions.
Women who arrived from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and the city of Tashkent, representatives of diverse government agencies gathered today at the festive table. The event was also attended by women diplomats carrying out their mission in our nation, in particular, ambassadors of the French Republic and the People’s Republic of China, heads of various United Nations country offices in Uzbekistan.
A colorful concert program glorifying women, love and care, afforded everyone a great mood.
