The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the extended meeting of the Security Council, paid special attention to issues of military-patriotic education of youth.

The Head of the state noted that soldiers, military personnel should have a deep knowledge of the glorious history of the country, the life and achievements of the great heroes and commanders raised in the country, be proud of them.

“All of us talk about Amir Temur with proud. However, let’s honestly admit, how many soldiers read the Code of the great Sakhibkiran?”, asked Shavkat Mirziyoyev. – Or, is everyone sufficiently aware of the life and military skill of the great commander Jaloliddin Manguberdi? After all, victories, strategy and tactics of our ancestors are still studied in many military schools and academies of the world”.

The Head of the state noted that soldiers before taking the military oath must pass exams on the history of Uzbekistan and on the Code of Temur. He gave instructions on assigning the names of our great commanders to advanced military units, conducting scientific research, and publishing fiction books and films about famous military leaders.

Instructions were given on increasing attention to military education, on which the reliable provision of peace and security of the country, involvement in pre-conscription training in schools of officers with high human and professional qualities, arranging visits for students to military units, and directly familiarizing them with the process of military service.
