President Shavkat Mirziyoyev got introduced with the development plans of Tashkent’s oldest district — Shaykhontohur. He supported the innovative projects of local entrepreneurs in a meeting with them.   

Technological park in Oqilon mahalla (neighbourhood) of Shakhontohur district was one of the projects presented to President. Local governments plan to enable opening of textile, clothing and sports goods enterprises, involving commercial banks. This will be an important factor of ensuring employment of women and youth in surrounding area.

Here, some projects on attracting investment into light industry, on building modern apartments, medical and diagnostics centre and kindergarten as well as on honey processing and packaging.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave his recommendations for the responsible officials and businesspeople on innovative development of the industry, on enhancing productivity and competitiveness, learning foreign experience.
