On June 13, after a serious illness, a prominent religious figure, the chief imam-hatib of Tashkent city Anvar qori Tursunov passed away. 

On June 15, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev visited the house of the deceased. 

Surahs from the Quran were read. 

The Head of the state expressed his deep condolences to children and relatives of Anvar qori.
