President Shavkat Mirziyoyev held several meetings on development of pharmaceutical industry, localization of imported medicines. According to the instructions, pharmaceutical enterprises are being put into operation in the regions and districts. 

Among them is Zamin Bio Health LLC, in the village of Khortum in Andijan region. This plant is capable of producing 10 million vials of insulin per year. 

This drug, used in treatment of diabetes mellitus, was imported into the country from abroad. With the commissioning of the plant, the import of this medicine will be reduced, the currency will be saved. Most importantly, this drug will become more accessible. 

For example, if now the price of one vial in the market is 36 thousand sums, the new plant is able to supply it for 20 thousand sums. 

This issue is of great importance, said Shavkat Mirziyoyev. Without access to insulin, the patient's life may be at risk. It is necessary to reduce the price of such vital medicines and ensure timely delivery to places. It is necessary to make people feel the effect. 

The President gave instructions on the state support of domestic producers in their formation and consolidation in the market, assisting them in registering medicinal substances.
