Dear friends! 

A few minutes later, the New Year 2018 will come in our beautiful country. 

I wholeheartedly congratulate you all, our esteemed fathers and mothers, dear women, our youth, the entire multinational people of Uzbekistan on this wonderful holiday. 

I wish you all good health, peace and prosperity. 

We entered a new stage of our dynamic development. We have used all the opportunities for achieving our high goals in the Year of dialogue with people and human interests. 

The outgoing year, despite some problems and difficulties, has become successful for the country due to self-sacrificing labor of our people. 

Most importantly, the attitude of the state to a citizen is changing. Serving people became the main life principle for us. 

All this is reflected in the daily life of people. Confidence in the future is growing. 

In 2017, our foreign policy activity was fruitful. Especially – in developing relations with neighboring countries on a fundamentally new basis. 

This contributes to further strengthening the situation of mutual trust, friendship and cooperation in our region. 

Such a strategic course will consistently and actively continue in 2018. 

Taking this opportunity, I sincerely congratulate all people of the countries of the distant and near abroad on the New Year, I wish peace and prosperity to all. 

Dear compatriots! 

We named the new year 2018 as the Year of supporting active entrepreneurship, innovative ideas and technologies. 

Today, when we are building our future, we should focus on these priority tasks. 

This is the rightest way, especially in the current conditions of aggravation of competition in the international arena. 

In this regard, we have every reason to assert that 2018 will be decisive in development of Uzbekistan. 

In the new year, as before, further increasing the level and quality of life, the real incomes of all strata of the population will be of special importance for us. 

Strengthening the atmosphere of peace and stability, interethnic and civil harmony in the country will remain the main task for us. 

We will pay special attention to expanding relations with our compatriots abroad. 

I am sure that we will reach new milestones that we have determined for ourselves in 2018, all together and through selfless labor.
