On September 18, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev departed for the United States of America.
As previously reported, the President of Uzbekistan will deliver a speech at the general debate of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly. The head of our state will meet and hold negotiations with the UN Secretary-General António Guterres, the Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Christine Lagarde, President of the World Bank Group Jim Yong Kim, leaders of other countries who arrived at the UN General Assembly.
The head of our state will also take part in Uzbekistan – US business forum. It is expected that, based on its results, the leaders of leading Uzbekistan and the USA companies will sign a significant package of bilateral documents in trade, economic, financial and investment spheres.
